How scoring works

There are six levels of word difficulty within the games. A value is associated with each difficulty level.

Remember that you are playing against the clock. There are three levels of response speeds included. Above the text box you'll notice the egg timer that is counting down the time in which you can still score bonus points. Your score is adjusted according to which response speed level is attained.

For an incorrect answer, a negative number is generated and allocated to your score. This amount is dependent upon the difficulty level of the word.

For the homepage, Spelling Bee and Multiple Choice games, the difficulty of the words varies as the set of words is randomly generated from easy, medium and hard words.

As you accumulate points and your score increases, it becomes more difficult to attain bonus points.

Good luck!
