The Times Spelling Bee Championship is the chance to be part of a high-profile nationwide contest and the opportunity for schools to display their students’ talents and mastery of spelling.
The live spelling competitions that will run up and down the country will be exciting and entertaining. Families and parents of students in the school team will be welcome to come and watch.
The aim of the Times Spelling Bee Championship is to make spelling fun and to help teachers to raise the profile of spelling and develop the talents of their students. The Times Spelling Bee is supported by the Department for Children, Schools and Families.
There will be prizes for both the winning school team and their school. Last year’s winning team, St Martins School from Northwood, Middlesex secured the coveted trophy with the prize of being guest editors on Young Times in Times2.
