Important Notice. For this new seasons scores will be set to zero
Class of 2010

With the new school year upon us, we are busy preparing to launch the 2009-10 Spelling Bee Championship.

We are in the process of adding more words to the 9,500 already in the online game, but to create a level playing field for new and existing players in 2009-10, all player scores will be reset to zero on September 28.

Players who registered for the 2008-09 game will be able to view their final ranking on their personal profile page.

James Harding

"Spelling is important, but learning to spell can be frustrating perplexing and bewildering. Our aim through The Times Spelling Bee is to help to make spelling fun. I’m very excited to be launching the 2010 championship and wish all the teams taking part the best of luck. I hope your school will take the opportunity to enter a team and fingers crossed that I might see you all at the 2010 championship Grand Final."
